Become a Member

For attorneys at large firms (20+ Attorneys) and in-house counsel. Active members must be licensed to practice law in any state, territory or district of the United States of America and must reside and practice in the United States of America. Active Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY including the right to vote and hold an elected position within PAANY.

For attorneys at small firms (Up to 20 Attorneys) and licensed attorneys who are not practicing. Active members must be licensed to practice law in any state, territory or district of the United States of America and must reside and practice in the United States of America. Active Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY including the right to vote and hold an elected position within PAANY.

For attorneys who are solo practitioners, government attorneys and attorneys working in the public interest space. Active members must be licensed to practice law in any state, territory or district of the United States of America and must reside and practice in the United States of America. Active Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY including the right to vote and hold an elected position within PAANY.

For attorneys who are in between opportunities and not currently employed. Active members must be licensed to practice law in any state, territory or district of the United States of America and must reside and practice in the United States of America. Active Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY including the right to vote and hold an elected position within PAANY.

Law student membership is appropriate for any student who is in good standing at a law school in the United States of America. Law Student Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY except for the right to vote or hold an elected position within PAANY (but Law Student Members may serve as PAANY Officers and committee members).

Supporting membership is appropriate for any person who supports the purpose, mission, vision and values of PAANY and who does not qualify as an Active Member or Law Student Member (i.e. paralegals, compliance professionals, foreign attorneys, legal operations specialists, etc.). Supporting Members in Good Standing are entitled to all the rights and privileges of PAANY except for the right to vote or hold an elected position within PAANY (but Supporting Members may serve as PAANY Officers and committee members).
